The 25th WPC Energy Congress took place in Riyadh from 11 to 15 October 2026 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center. It was the first time the Kingdom had hosted the congress, held under the theme “Pathways to an Energy Future for All” and as part of the wider Energy Week in Riyadh.

What was discussed
The Saudi Press Agency reported that ministerial dialogues, panels and technical sessions covered artificial intelligence, digital transformation, transport technologies, financing, energy efficiency and resilient infrastructure. Sessions also looked at global oil and gas markets and Saudi Arabia’s transformation under Vision 2030. The Minister of Energy opened the congress together with the WPC Energy President.

SPA reported more than 33,000 registrations, which it described as the highest in the congress’s history, with participants from 135 countries and 489 media representatives. The Ministry of Energy also ran an inaugural Energy Hackathon alongside the congress.
